Considered a monument to the early settlers, the County Courthouse, with its golden dome and musical chimes, was built in 1905-06 on the original "market square." It is located in downtown Seward at the intersection of Highways 34 and 15. The Courthouse the restored store fronts around the square are the backdrop for many local activities including the annual 4th of July celebration that draws upward of 40,000 people and the twice weekly farmer's markets. |
